Case study — Brand & e-commerce
Nocturne Coffee.
A midnight coffee label for people who work while the city sleeps.
The brief.
Nocturne roasts coffee for night people — developers, nurses, bakers, students. Every coffee brand on the shelf was shouting about sunrises. Nocturne needed to own the other twelve hours without looking like an energy drink.
The dig.
We built the identity around concentric rings — coffee rings on a desk at 3am, sonar, vinyl. A near-black green system, type set like a late-night radio dial, and a store that dims with your local time: visit at noon and it is bright and quick; visit at midnight and the whole shop lowers its voice.
The shine.
The dim-with-you storefront became the marketing. Nocturne launched with fourteen SKUs, tripled its pre-order target, and got picked up by two speciality chains who found the site — at night, naturally.
